PTA Board Positions!

So far, we have not received back any notices about serving on the next year's PTA board. We really need some people to step up and serve next year. Especially a president elect!! My preference is not to pressure any particular person, so we send out the notices hoping to get people to volunteer on their own. This also gives us diversity on our board. If you are nervous about serving, find a friend to serve together and share responsiblities. Positions on the PTA board give you insights & input on many school issues. You will get the opportunity to meet some fabulous parents/teachers/staff at the school and your kids will love having you more involved. PTA responsibilities are light when shared by many. Please consider serving on our board next year. We are currently looking to fill these positions:

  • President Elect - Will be president the following year (2009-10) needs to be from south school area!
  • Education Board Chair - coordinate book fair volunteers/help with readathon
  • Health Committee Board Chair - coordinate vision screening volunteers/maturation refreshments/help with red ribbon week
  • Safety & Welfare Committee Board Chair - Red Ribbon Week/6th grade NOVA refreshments
  • Student Involvement Committee Board Chair - student & class recognition/t-shirt sales/spirit days

Please Angie Lethbridge if you can serve next year!

PTA Parent Survey/Needs Assessment

In April the PTA will be sending home a parent survey & needs assessment. This is your opportunity to give input to PTA & the school. Please make an effort to fill it out and send it back in with your child.  You may click here to download and print a copy of the survey.

Your voice is important to us. Thanks! Angie Lethbridge

Info to Pass Along

Please consider taking the time to respond to this!! Action for Healthy Kids (a coalition representing more than 50 different education, health, and community professionals) is collecting opinions about the School Nutrition and Physical Activity Wellness Policies adopted last year in school districts throughout Utah.

Your opinions are very important to us, whether or not you know much about the Wellness Policies. The survey is 11 questions long and can be completed in about 5 minutes.
